Research Interests

Design and development ofCNS-active compounds/drugs. Pharmacology and sructure-activity relationships of agents that bind with drug receptors (e.g. benzodiazepine, nicotine, serotonin receptors). Parallel synthesis for the development of combinatorial libraries. Working knowledge of high throughput organic synthesis. Experience using both solution and solid phase approaches to the development of combinatorial libraries. Combinatorial lead optimization. Classical synthesis of a great number of compounds in different fields: heterocyclic chemistry (1,4-benzodiazepines, 1,4,5-benzotriazocines, pyridines, pyrimidines, arylpiperazines, indoles, pyrans, chromans, macrocycles etc.); carbacyclic and acyclic chemistry (amines, alcohols, phosphorous and sulfur derivatives etc.). Development of asymmetric methods and chiral separation of organic molecules.
